Our HOME Philosophy

My wish is for everyone who dines at 家 to experience the joy of being at home.
— Chef Tan Yong Hua

Welcome to Chef Tan Yong Hua’s Restaurant HOME

Singaporean celebrity chef Tan Yong Hua invites you for a taste of “家” at his Restaurant HOME, located at The Rail Mall.

The restaurant features the award-winning chef’s  signature Peking Duck Barbecued with Lychee Wood. While most Peking ducks are barbecued using apple wood, Chef Tan has specially used lychee wood for its more delicate flavour, going to the extent of designing and customising his own oven to achieve the perfect Peking Duck.

The chef, formerly Chinese Executive Chef at five-star hotels such as Marina Mandarin (Peach Blossom) and Raffles the Plaza (Sze Chuan Court), believes in making everything from scratch, such as braising pork knuckles daily for five hours for his Braised Vermicelli with Pork Knuckles served in Oba Leaf (ter kah bee hoon).

Take a trip down memory lane as Restaurant HOME also features lesser-seen Singaporean heritage dishes, such as the Hot-Stone Chicken with Lily Buds, Flower Mushrooms.

We look forward to welcoming you with our homemade goodness at Restaurant HOME!
