本地首位以精湛的厨艺晋级泰国铁人厨师竞赛,并勇夺冠军宝座的厨师。陈勇华师傅,曾于2008年参与第六届中国烹饪世界大赛,并取得一金二银的成绩;2004年在新加坡金鼎奖比赛中获得了金牌。此外,陈师傅也是新加坡餐饮协会2006厨师厨艺比赛中,第三名得主;并于2006年新加坡美食展中,荣获了最佳海鲜类别第三名。                                                                                       

陈勇华师傅除了烹调与研发各种中式料理,同时也在新加坡各个著名酒店内的知名中餐厅厨房,提供专业的指导与咨询,其中包括了新达城新加坡国际会议展览中心珠江楼,莱佛士酒店皇朝中餐馆、滨华酒店鸿桃轩餐厅、莱佛士大厦酒店四川阁餐厅、同乐集团的灵芝素食馆、新加坡安国酒店及滨海湾高尔夫球俱乐部的黄金大酒店等。                                                                               

此外,陈师傅的料理也获得了来自海内外名人的赞誉与好评,而其中就包括了希拉里·克林顿以及摩纳哥的阿尔伯特王子。除此之外,陈师傅也不断地延伸他对烹饪的热忱,不仅为各项烹饪赛事担任评委嘉宾,也拍摄了许多由新传媒私人有限公司所制作的烹饪节目,而近期所拍摄的其中一个节目就包括了《名厨出走记》,透过此次录制,更加让陈师傅发掘到来自中国传统文化,那种简单又赋予色彩的味道。                                                         

陈勇华师傅目前也已经将他的食谱,成功地发表并分享在一些杂志刊物里。

Being the first Singaporean chef to trump the Iron Chef Thailand.  Chef Tan Yong Hua has earned various awards and accolades including one Gold and two Silver Medals in the World Championship of Chinese Cuisine 2008 and the Singapore Gourmet Hunt 2004, 3rd prize in the Chef RAS 2006 Culinary Competition; 3rd prize for Best Seafood Category at the 2006 Singapore Food Festival and a Gold Medal during the 2004 Singapore Gourmet Hunt.

Chef Tan’s pivotal career highlights include having helmed the kitchens of several renowned Chinese restaurants in prominent hotels such as Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre – Pearl River Palace, Raffles Hotel – Royal China Singapore, Marina Mandarin Singapore – Peach Blossom Restaurant, Raffles the PlazaSze Chuan Court Restaurant, Tung Lok group’s LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant, Amara Hotel, Golden Landmark Marina Bay Golf and Country Club among others

Additionally, his culinary delights have been enjoyed by a number of dignitaries and notable luminaries, including Hillary Clinton, Prince Albert of Monaco and many of Singapore local celebrities. 

Extending his culinary passion for food, he has also judged many competitions and has participated in various Mediacorp culinary programme; the most recent being Love on a Plate, where he journeyed to the Far East for a taste of the simple and colourful culinary palates of traditional Chinese culture.

Chef Tan's recipes are also been shared in several publications.
